My name is Sydney Steinger, and I’m the Founder of “A Child’s Home.” I’m a 17 year old high school senior that grew up in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. When I was 12 years old, my “sister” lost her mother in a tragic accident and she came to live with me and my family. Though I had known her most of my life, as our families were friends, I never expected her to become a permanent part of my family. Having a new sister was an extreme adjustment, but it became one of the greatest experiences of my life.
I have always been passionate about helping children in the foster care system, whether that be through volunteering at local charities, raising funds for necessities, or gathering toys for children for the holidays. None of these activities compares to helping children find the support they need and a loving, caring family to provide them with the home they deserve.
As we did with my sister, many families will find the experience of adoption rewarding as the child they care for will make their home complete.
